Since ancient times, Greeks believed that the olive tree and its fruit had divine origins and countless beneficial properties for humans. This belief highlights the importance and timeless value of the olive in our lives.
During this themed week, we will closely experience the harvesting process, which has remained almost unchanged from ancient times to today — a process that respects nature and its fruits in the purest and most traditional way.
Olive harvesting usually begins in November, when the fruit changes color: from green to purple and gradually to dark. Once the olives are collected, they are taken to a traditional local olive mill where sorting takes place. There, the fruit is crushed with millstones, releasing its precious juice. In the final stage, the “liquid gold” — the extra virgin olive oil — is separated from the water.
The secret of this exquisite, pure, organic product lies in our family’s deep and long-standing relationship with the trees and the land. It is the love and care passed down through generations that give flavor, quality, and soul to every drop.
Together, we will witness this entire art unfold before us, filling our senses with unique experiences, sights, and aromas.
And after finishing the olive harvest, we will continue our day in the “Garden of the Hesperides,” where we will pick oranges, lemons, and mandarins — thus completing our experiential week in the sweetest and most fragrant way.
